Tail Pully
Description
The tail pulley is contained within the belt and helps it to rotate freely around the ends of the conveyor. It is generally free-spinning, with bearings mounted either inside or on the ends of the tail pulley.
Function
Tail Pulley / Return Pulley is used to redirect a conveyor belt back toward the drive pulley. Conveyor tail pulleys can have internal bearings or can be mounted in external bearings and are usually located at the end of the conveyor bed.
Application
While the head pulley is responsible for driving the conveyor belt, the tail pulley plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the system by guiding the belt, maintaining tension, and ensuring proper alignment. The tail pulley is located at the end of the conveyor system, opposite the head pulley.
